Frequently Asked Questions

This is YOUR session. CTM caters it to you!

If you want anything changed during your massage: pressure, areas worked, position, if you are too hot or too cold ... don't be afraid to let me know! I want this to be the best experience for you to relax and enjoy.

What should I expect during my first massage therapy visit?
CTM requires you to fill out a medical history form upon arrival, so plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early for you initial session. Afterward, I will begin by asking you general questions to establish what areas you would like worked on, if there are any conditions needing to be addressed, and to determine if massage is appropriate for you.
It is important to list all health concerns and medications so I can adapt the session to your specific needs without doing any harm. It is also important to list any allergies so we can keep your safety a priority.

Do I have to be completely undressed?

You should undress to the level you are comfortable. For the most effective massage possible, skin on skin contact is best. However, if you will feel more confortable, undergarments can be worn during the session. Once you are undressed and on the table under sheets, I  will only uncover the part of your body being worked on so your modesty will be secured.

Cancellation/No show policy:
When cancelling an appointment, you must give 24 hours advance notice of the change. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment in your time slot. If you are unable to keep your appointment and fail to give 24 hours notice, you will be charged the full amount of the session booked.

What do I do during a massage treatment?
Make yourself comfortable. If your therapist wants you to adjust your position, she/he will either move you or will ask you to move what is needed. Otherwise, change your position anytime to make yourself more comfortable.
Many people close their eyes and relax completely during a session; others prefer to talk. It's up to you. It is your massage, and whatever feels natural to you is the best way to relax. Do not hesitate to ask questions at any time.
